I have had a number of enquiries about photos from this year's Liffey Descent. I am sorry to say that it is no longer economical for me to employ the team of photographers and indexers needed to cover the Descent. It was a matter of pride for me that the majority of competitors could find their photos on this site. Last year I had photos of 97% of the starting line up. Over the last few years a number of photographers posted free photos on Fickr and other sites, and others sold images at low prices. The sales lost because of this are the sales that paid for the full coverage. This year I had to make the decision not to cover the event at all rather than only provide partial coverage. I am very disappointed that I had to do this, but my business with all it's overheads can't compete with someone that has a day job and is happy to make a few Euro toward their next lens.To everyone that bought photos over the last few years I would like to say a big "Thank You" for your business.
